Transformation from the inside out is not only possible, it’s necessary under the Aries new moon

As we welcome the first new moon of the astrological year that began on March 19, we find ourselves in a completely new territory. Regardless of the part of the world we live in, we can all agree that things have shifted on a global scale due to the outbreak of Coronavirus seeded by the Saturn-Pluto conjunction along with other astrological triggers.

This new moon will be touching some of these sensitive triggers by illuminating some of the darkest corners of our psyche. Both, the sun and moon in Aries sitting right next to asteroid Chiron and Black Moon Lilith hint to the need of doing some deep shadow work. At the same time, all four are also in a challenging position (squaring) to the nodes of the moon in Cancer and Capricorn, giving this lunation a very fated quality. In other words, the events that take place during the days surrounding this moon will most likely not be up for negotiation—and they were, most likely—a long time coming.

Let’s begin with Chiron, known in Greek mythology as the wounded healer, pointing to a deep wound that lays deep in our subconscious (moon). With Black Moon Lilith, known as the dark goddess, involved here, we can also get the hint that inside of us (regardless of our gender), as well as in our society, there’s an extremely powerful, pent-up feminine energy that needs to come out.

As we begin to dig deeper and deeper during this Saturnian isolation, the presence of the sun newly in Aries can certainly illuminate some of these wounds by bringing them into our awareness. In some cases, this can be pretty dark material and painful to even picture in our minds, however, this combination of planets/transits offers a unique opportunity for healing them, especially as Mars, the ruler of this lunation, begins to conjunct Saturn, newly in Aquarius. In other words, there will be juicy rewards for those who do the work!

During these days, let isolation be your guide as it makes this dark corner available to you. In your reflection, as yourself: What part of myself have I not given a voice? How many times have I not spoken out for myself? What part of my feminine energy is being repressed? What have I been giving up in order to follow society’s needs and standards?

This is not an easy ride, and while we all feel this energy collectively (duh), folks with natal planets in early degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn will be feeling this lunar energy the most. Read your horoscope for this new moon here.

If you do end up waking up something inside of you, know that it is just the beginning of the journey—as chiron will be in this position with the nodes of destiny throughout the end of March and the beginning of April.

Let’s all sink into this opportunity for healing, as we all need it more than ever.

With love,

NARAMON
